Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Flight Request


If you would like to operate an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV; i.e. drone) on any of the USACE properties within the Pittsburgh District, you will need to fill out the following forms and send them to Geospatial.LRP@usace.army.mil. If you fill out the forms electronically, you can send them as an attachment to this address immediately. If you print them out, please scan, re-upload, and send them as an attachment to this address. We will not accept documents transmitted in any other way.


UAS Mission Proposal
Use this form to submit a proposal for a UAS mission.
Complete this form and send it to Geospatial.LRP@usace.army.mil. You should receive a response indicating whether your request is approved or denied within 5 business days.

If you need to report more crew members and/or UAVs, please use this supplemental form.
Pre-Flight Checklist
Use this form to report the conditions surrounding a flight.
If your request is approved, you will need to complete this form each flight.
UAS Mission Debrief
Use this form to report on the results of your operation.
After your mission, please complete this form and send it to Geospatial.LRP@usace.army.mil within 5 business days.
